After arriving in Muscat, we spent a couple of days buying supplies and people watching on the corniche.
The locals leisurely stroll the promenade in long white robes and burkas.
Interspersed among them are elderly tourists from the cruise ships. Wearing shorts and tank tops, they head off to the bazaar to haggle for ‘authentic?’ Arabic souvenirs.
