Upon arriving in Muscat, we spent a few days buying supplies and people-watching on the corniche.
The locals leisurely strolled the promenade in long white robes and burkas.
Interspersed among them were elderly tourists from the cruise ships. Wearing shorts and tank tops, they made their way to the bazaar to haggle for ‘authentic’ Arabic souvenirs.
