RTW Cyclists

In the 1990’s Kathmandu was a meeting point for international bicycle travelers. There we met Jan and Marianne who had just pedalled from the Netherlands. They traveled south via Pakistan and regaled us with antecdotes from their trip.

The previous summer they organized a get-together weekend in Holland for long distance touring cyclists. Later other people took over the organization and formed the official club “De Wereldfietser”.

Since they were heading in a different direction, we waved them off as they pedaled out of Patan.
