Tent camps

During the summer months, tent villages are set up along the Leh-Manali highway, offering food and sleeping accommodations.

We stopped for the meals but didn’t sleep in the tents.

There were too many horror stories doing the rounds. Other cyclists told of snoring Indian soldiers and vacationing Sikh motorcyclists who upon entering a tent announced: “It’s party time!”
