The platform was piled high with boxes, baskets, and fresh produce. We could barely see Gandhi’s head peeking out over all the stuff.
Paul pulled out his camera to take a shot.
“NO!” the villagers cried, rushing to clear everything away.
Once everything was spick and span, they proudly stood next to Gandhi’s statue. Now it was okay.
