Monsoon

In the morning, we would set off under blue skies. But by mid-afternoon, menacing clouds started forming. (Cue drum roll…)

Then—bam!—the first lightning bolts struck, and the heavens opened.

With luck, we found a roof to shelter under. Together with the locals, we stood packed in like sardines. Everybody was waiting for the deluge to stop.

Then off we went, slipping and sliding over the muddy  tracks.
