Cookie Lady

June Curry (2/8/1921 – 6/16/2012) lived alongside the trail in Afton, Virginia. She offered food and lodging to passing cyclists. Her house was a veritable museum containing postcards, photos and bicycle memorabilia.

She also took polaroids of the bikers who spent the night. Joe Bousquet, Hank Raines and Gordon Hamachi set up a registry containing her scanned pictures at CGOAB.
